Mary Anning (CH/BE 2025)

At the start of the 19th century, 12-year-old Mary lives with her family in very modest circumstances on the English coast. She and her father share the same passion: searching for and excavating fossils. When he suddenly disappears for unexplained reasons, leaving behind only a mysterious sketch, Mary makes it her mission to solve the mystery behind it. The film is based on the life of one of the first female palaeontologists and tells the story of a young girl’s self-assertion.
