Current comics from the Czech Republic

The panel discussion offers insights into the current state of the Czech comics scene from the perspective of three prominent authors: Jindřich Janíček, Štěpánka Jislová and Mikuláš Podprocký. The artists will present their latest books in German translation and discuss their influences and changes within the Czech comics scene. The event takes place as part of the “Czechia 2026” project and the Year of Czech Culture, which accompanies the Czech Republic’s appearance as Guest of Honour at the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026.
