Panels & Lectures
Current topics in the comic scene and the Salon’s key themes will be explored in depth over four days through more than 70 talks, presentations and panel discussions held in the Orangerie in the Schlossgarten, the University’s Kollegienhaus, the ZAM – Zentrum für Austausch und Machen, and the kubic. Representatives of publishers, specialised journalists, comics researchers, collectors and artists present at the festival will have their say. Topics this year include the significance of AI for artists, for emerging comic creators and in translation, comics as political protest, queerness and diversity in comics, comic funding, organisational structures for comic creators, comics in academia, and much more. The Comic Podium programme will be complemented by a series of lectures by the web community Comic Solidarity and the Gesellschaft für Comicforschung (ComFor).
