Artist talk: Ville Ranta

For 25 years, Ville Ranta has been one of the key figures in the Finnish comics scene. He is a comic book author, cartoonist and publisher, and his graphic novels have been successfully translated into several languages. Ville Ranta covers a broad spectrum ranging from fictional stories to autobiographical accounts and essays. In his latest graphic novel, “How I Conquered France”, he offers a self-deprecating and highly insightful glimpse behind the scenes of the comics industry.
