Artist Exchange Québec – Bavaria

As part of the partnership between Bavaria and Québec, two-month residency grants are awarded annually to writers, comic book artists, and literary translators. Elisabeth Donoughue, Program Officer for Literary Promotion and Cultural Participation at the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Culture, provides a brief overview of the grant programme. Ariane Cloutier, this year’s fellow from Québec, who began her residency at the Villa Concordia Artists’ House in early May, shares her experiences so far and presents her current comic project.
