The documentary-series “Draw for Change!” creates a series of portraits of six international illustrators who rebel against social taboos in their homelands. For this, they pay a heavy price, receive threats – but they do not let that intimidate them. They continue drawing because it is unthinkable for them not to: In the middle of the warzone in the Syrian city Idlib, in opposition to violence against women, and for gender equality in Mexico, about a Russia under Putin and state-supported violence, for a liberal India, against censorship and patriarchal norms as well as freedom of speech in Egypt. 

In 2023, the series won the award for Best Documentary Series at the Cannes International Film Festival. Five episodes can be seen as part of the Comic Film Fest:
