Domestic violence in comics

The authors Noah Eggert (“Ida – keine Katzengeschichte”, Edition Helden), Pandora Magri (“Himmelblau”, Jaja Verlag) and Stephanie Brittnacher (“Haus aus Stein”, co-authored with Frauke Angel) tackle the subject from very different perspectives. Whether it’s starting afresh after escaping a violent partner, dealing with a violent mother, or the situation in women’s shelters. The topic, which is often overlooked in public discourse, is explored in comics in a variety of ways and through highly personal approaches.
