Animated film, directed by Emma Hough Hobbs and Leela Varghese, 87 min, age 16+

As the daughter of two lesbian queens, Princess Saira leads a sheltered life on the planet Clitopolis. However, when her ex-girlfriend Kiki is taken hostage by the “Straight White Malians”, she must leave her queer safe space and embark on a dangerous rescue mission. In the process, Saira learns not only to face the patriarchal creatures of her world, but also to overcome her own self-doubt.

The award-winning animated film celebrated its world premiere at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
