The young activist Hélène is a member of a group of idealistic students who, after lengthy planning, carry out an attack on a wealthy couple. However, the attack goes wrong and claims several lives. Horrified by the brutal events, Hélène flees into the woods, where she is haunted by her deceased comrade Manon. Torn between her own safety and her friends, Hélène must grapple with fundamental questions: What does she want, and what is she prepared to sacrifice for it?
