Bianca Schaalburg

Born and raised in Berlin. After studying visual communication at the UdK Berlin, she worked as a freelance illustrator for publishing houses, editorial offices and agencies. Numerous works in the area of children's and youth books have been published by Cornelsen, dtv, Fischer-Sauerländer, Oetinger, Ravensburger & Tulipan, among others. Her first graphic novel "Der Duft der Kiefern" was published by avant-verlag in autumn 2021 and is now in its third printing. The title is currently nominated for the Deutschen Jugendliteratur Preis (German Youth Literature Award).
