Mikuláš Podprocký is originally from Slovakia; he lives and works in Prague. Born in 1978, he studied at the Studio of Free 3D Creativity under Prof. Juraj Bartusz at the Technical University of Košice. Since 2002, he has worked as an artist at various software companies that develop video games – among other roles, he served as art director for the globally successful game "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" by Warhorse Studios. He has also published two volumes of his original comic book "Divočina". He also illustrates books. For the comic "Not Only Winton" (script by Tereza Verecká), he won the Muriel Award for Best Artwork and Comic of the Year 2024. This year, together with Tereza Verecká, he won the Muriel Award for Best Short Comic for a story by Jaromíra Kočnarová in the anthology "Těžká rozhodnutí".
