Art Vending Machine
Comics from a cigarette vending machine? Where on earth can you find such a thing? In Erlangen, of course, home to the International Comic Salon. Located on Neustädter Kirchenplatz on the outer wall of the Stadtmuseum since 2022 and operated by E-Werk, the Art Vending Machine offers art for everyone. For 6 Euro, you can buy a box containing a unique piece of art by local artists. Every month there is an ‘Artist of the Month’, supplemented by further artworks on a ‘surprise bag’ principle. During the Comic Salon, of course, there are lots of fantastic unique comic strips. Come along and pull your own work of art out of the art vending machine!
