Rudolph Perez is a comic book writer and artist, illustrator, and cartoonist.

He is a co-founder and regular contributor to “ZEBRA, the sophisticated German comic magazine,” which is filled with exciting and witty adventure comics for sophisticated adult readers and has been awarded the ICOM Independent Comic Prize.

The 40th-anniversary issue was published as a lavish double issue, ZEBRA 19/20.

Perez is also the creator of the science fiction comic book/paperback series COMMANDER CORK (Gringo Comics) about a famous bureaucrat from the planet Meta-Pengo and his eternal struggle against insolent mutants, work-shy robots, and pesky laws of nature. Current issue: #5. “The Commander's Vacation” explores analog and virtual excursions into more or less familiar universes.

Perez is also the author of authentic stories from the mysterious world of the comic book business—navigating audience expectations and career dreams, success strategies and work routines—in a bold blend of factual reportage, offbeat humor, and sentimental autofiction.

Available collections of comic artist episodes: “The Truth Lies in the Ink” and ZEBRA Holiday Special Issue. More planned.
