* Born in 1968 in Staffelbach (CH), she lives and works as a freelance comic artist and illustrator in Zurich. Her illustrations and graphic novels appear in various publications and are published by a range of publishers, including Edition Moderne, Strapazin, Cahiers Dessinés and Actes Sud. In 2006, she was awarded the City of Zurich’s Comic Artist Award. For “Das Unbekannte” (Edition Moderne), she received the 2017 Comic Grant from the cities of German-speaking Switzerland and was a guest of honour at BDFIL in Lausanne in 2017. In 2023, “Tinte” was published, a wordless comic created using Anna Sommer’s signature paper-cut technique (also Edition Moderne). In 2024, she was presented the prestigious Max und Moritz Award for best German-language comic artist at the Erlangen Comic Salon.
