Viktoria is interested in granulating watercolours, civic engagement, fountain and dip pens, local democracy projects, turtles, owls, citizen science, science communication, the PRÜF initiative (pruef-demos.de), the videos on funfacts.de, the struggles of others, and well-told stories. She was born in the Sauerland region (when Helmut Schmidt was still Chancellor) and grew up in the Ruhr region. In 2023, she was awarded a three-month residency grant for graphic literature to develop the comic narrative “Luftwurzeln”. As an illustrator and writer, her focus otherwise lies on graphic reportage. For this, she combines short texts with sketches drawn on location, mostly created in ink, watercolour, and graphite. From time to time, she experiments with comic zines inspired by everyday life.
