The International Comic Seminar is the longest-running seminar for comics and graphic literature in the German-speaking area and is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The working week is led by a rotating group of renowned comic artists and enjoys a reputation that extends far beyond Germany’s borders. As part of its international collaboration, the seminar regularly welcomes guests from all over the world – in 2025/26 from Brazil, China, Finland, France, Poland, the Czech Republic and Turkey. Traditionally, the work from the two previous seminars is presented to the public as part of the Comic Salon. Since 2019, the seminar has been led by Ralf Marczinczik.
