Moritz von Wolzogen, born in 1984 in Frankfurt am Main, studied communication design in Wiesbaden and has been working in his home town since 2012 as a freelance illustrator on books and board games (including for Beltz and Arena), as well as creating his own graphic narratives.
His work encompasses a variety of styles, genres and techniques, with a strong sense of dynamism serving as the unifying element. In addition to occasional contributions to the German comic anthology “Jazam”, he published his first graphic novel, “Totality – fliegende Schatten” (Zwerchfell Comics), in 2015, and in 2022 the graphic reportage “Die Aeroplane in Brescia” (Edition Nathalie Laue), based on a text by Franz Kafka. His latest works, the short comic “Translux” for COZMIC Vol. 11 (Kult Geschichten), and the Inktober artzine “Schwarz Weiss Buch”, will be released at this year’s Comic Salon.
