War and Peas

Elizabeth Pich (b. 1989) and Jonathan Kunz (b. 1988) work together as a duo in Saarbrücken. They met whilst studying art and began publishing weekly comic strips under the name War and Peas. Edition Moderne has published "Liebe Erde" (2025) by War and Peas, as well as Elizabeth Pich’s solo comic "Fungirl" (several volumes since 2024) — to great acclaim. Elizabeth and Jonathan are also committed to promoting young comic talent in their region. Over a million people read their stories every week — who knows where the journey will take them next?
