Maximilan Meier

A master student of Johannes Grützke. He studied fine art, served as Johannes Grützke’s teaching assistant at the art academy for several semesters, and won the class prize there twice. He never received any government funding.

He had been interested in the Ninth Art since childhood, first as a reader, later as an author and illustrator. He first had to seek opportunities abroad before his comics garnered interest in Germany.

In addition to creating uplifting adventures for Cozmic—the fantastic comic anthology—and Sprühende Phantasie, he collaborates with his favorite authors, Hannu Kesola and Vesa Vitikainen, on exciting projects for a progressive audience.
