Marita Kelbl
Marita Kelbl (*1996) studied illustration at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. She gained artistic experience in Portugal, the Unites States, France, and Italy, and now lives in Pilsen. She devotes herself to authorial books, and her collection of illustrated palindromes "Tam a zpět" (There and Back, 2023) won second place in the student category of the "Most Beautiful Books of 2020" competition and a year later also scored in the "Book in Progress" competition. Her diploma thesis "They Them" (2022), which forms the basis of the book "Ani holka, ani kluk" (Neither Girl nor Boy, Paseka, 2023), brought Marita Kelbl to the finals of the Czech Grand Design competition. The book was published in German in 2026 by Anthea, translated by Barbora Schnelle.
