Keja Blank
Keja Blank, also known as Kerstin Jans, is a part-time freelance illustrator and graphic designer from the beautiful Baroque town of Ludwigsburg, with a second home in the world of fantasy. For over 20 years, she has worked as an art director for agencies and publishers in the fields of illustration, graphic design, concept design and character design. She loves nothing more than immersing herself in the world of children’s and young/new adult communication – especially when it has a whiff of fantasy literature about it. At Cross Cult Entertainment, as a graphic designer and illustrator specialising in book layout and cover design, she ensures that books are enticing from the very first glance – and has been doing so with real passion since 2023.
She is also known as a detail-oriented illustrator with a chronic sketchbook addiction: she draws anytime, anywhere. Ideas are not just collected, but immediately adapted, taken apart and reassembled – the main thing is that it stays exciting. She is currently working on her own graphic novel about love, healing and self-acceptance, set in a nature-loving, fantastical world. The focus is on the search for one’s inner essence, complemented by a sensitive, deep relationship. At the Comic Salon, you can immerse yourself in her artwork, sketches and cosplay, and discover a selection in the Comic Seminar exhibition.
