Nele Jongeling

Illustrator and comic artist Nele Jongeling, born in 1996, studied communication design in Düsseldorf and graphic storytelling in Brussels. Her work is mostly autobiographical and explores topics such as feminism, gender, and sexuality. Her latest graphic novel, "Ich will nicht arbeiten" (I don't want to work), was published by Reprodukt in May 2026. In addition to her work as an illustrator, she advocates for the visibility of detransitioners, gives workshops and readings, and teaches at Ecosign in Cologne.
