Since 2022, "Comic in Bayern" has been a cultural policy initiative aimed at promoting comics in all their forms within Bavaria's cultural landscape. Under the motto “We need more visibility, promotion, networking and diversity!”, they have organised events, readings, workshops, conferences and projects for the Bavarian comic scene for the past four years. Now, the initiative is repositioning itself and plans to establish an association in 2026 – the first regional association for graphic literature.
