Ully Arndt
Ully Arndt, born in 1961 in Hamburg, is a successful illustrator, cartoonist, comic artist, author and producer. At the age of just 16 he started working as an editorial assistant of Herbert Feuerstein at Satiremagazine MAD and gained his first experiences as both an artist and an author. He also received multiple tips and guidance for professional comic production from Gigi Spina - former chief editor of renown comic magazine "ZACK!".
During his studies of communication-design in technical college Armgartstraße, Arndt started establishing his own comic series such as "Knudchens Abenteuer", "Ingo Igels Interview" and "Charlys Abenteuer im Sternchen". He released collaborative projects with Gunter Baars, such as the comic-strip-series "Computer-Kid Cosinus" and the one-page series "Larry", which were both released in BRAVO magazine.
What followed was his daily comic-strip series "Otto's Ottifanten", as well as a successful Tv-show and movie adaptation. Since then more of his creations have become an essential part of german comic-pop culture: "Post-Rolf", "Ferdi Fuchs", "Cool Flame", "Playboy-Cartoons", the audiobook series "Die Punkies" and most recently his comic-noir-adaptation of Heinz Strunks bestselling novel "Der goldene Handschuh".
