Hanna Wenzel

Hanna Wenzel lives near Stuttgart and works as a freelance illustrator. In her illustrations, she loves nothing more than capturing ordinary moments, and she pursues daydreams with the same passion – because nothing is as alluring as the view from the window. 

After studying communication design, she worked for several years at an events and design agency in Stuttgart. There, Hanna used her concept sketches to bring numerous presentations to life, until she decided to go freelance in 2017. In 2020, “Rocky Beach” became the first graphic novel she illustrated to be published by a traditional publisher, having spent years primarily working in self-publishing. This was followed by two further graphic novels for the EXIT brand (“Die Frau im Nebel” in 2021, “Das Portal ins Nichts” in 2023). 

Under the name “fruchtdrop”, the illustrator shares sketches of her life on social media.
