Twyla Dawn Weixl is a Canadian artist and writer who has designed sets, logos, album covers and merchandising for German TV’s "Formel Eins", a music hits showcase and also worked on "The Never-Ending Story I". She wrote and illustrated "Twenty-Two Feelings From Nice to Nasty", published by Napoleon in Toronto in 2000. Weixl earned her Masters degree in Art Education and English Didactics at Ludwig Maximillian University in Munich and teaches drawing comics and English in schools, universities and businesses. In 2017, she was awarded an artist’s residency in Quebec by the Bavarian Ministry of Culture, where she began researching, writing and illustrating a graphic novel, "Fighter Brat", based on her experiences as the daughter of a fighter pilot growing up in Canada and Germany during the 1950’s Cold War.
