Tereza Verecká (*1985, Prague) is an author, dramaturge, playwright, and director. She studied song- and scriptwriting at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory as well as dramaturgy at DAMU in Prague. Her plays have been published by Akropolis Publishing House, and later translated into Hungarian and Serbian. She has written several radio and theater plays, as well as texts and fairy tales for both children and adults. For her comic book "Winton nebyl sám" (Not only Winton), she won the Muriel Award in the categories of Best Comic Book Script and Book of the Year. A year later, she received the same award in the Short Comic Book category for her adaptation of the story of Jaromíra Kočnarová, whose family hid partisans during World War II.
