Timo Stoffregen

Timo Stoffregen is a state-certified animation and comic artist and has been working as a freelance comic artist, illustrator, and author based in Hanover since 2011. Since 2015, he has created his own comic projects, satirical reading texts, and regularly published illustrations and comic strips in magazines, anthologies, and digital formats. In 2015, together with two other artists, he published his first children’s book, "Keine Angst vor Monstern" (No Fear of Monsters), which was republished by Tredition in 2018. Since 2017, his work has regularly appeared in the ICOM Yearbook, Exodus Sci-Fi Magazine, Trust, PLOP, Kutlul, and Welten Magazine, as well as in ICOM’s own publications, Stadtkind Magazine, the satire magazine Der Metzger and the literary journal Hahnepeter. The ongoing comic strip "Matti" has become a staple of his publications and has been featured in several fanzines and magazines since 2017. His comic series "Detlef Legend" gained similar exposure, with pages published in issues of the comic magazine GRAPHICA (Wiele Verlag) in 2023/2024. In 2024, the first collection of his "Matti" comic strip series was released under the title !Matti – Kiffen, Kacken, Kekse backen" (Matti – Smoking, Shitting, Baking Cookies). Since 2017, his workshops on “Making Comics” have been a regular part of the cultural event program in Hanover and the surrounding area.
