Lena Steffinger

Lena Steffinger was born in 1989 in Stuttgart, Germany. She studied psychology in Heidelberg and then illustration and graphic storytelling with Anke Feuchtenberger in Hamburg and Bologna. She now lives and works in Stuttgart. She writes and draws comics, picture books, children's books, zines and free projects in between. In her work, she is particularly interested in the relationships between people and the landscape in which they are embedded. Lena has been nominated for the Leibinger Comicpreis 2020 and the IBK Förderpreis Kultur in the comic category in 2023. As a child, she once won a plastic Christmas tree that was bigger than she was.
