Ika Sperling

Comic artist and illustrator Ika Sperling, born in Mainz in 1996, studied illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. In addition to her work as an illustrator and comic book writer, she leads comic workshops for young people and participates in the organizing team of the Hamburg Comic Festival. For her graphic novel debut, "Der Große Reset", published by Reprodukt, she was awarded the Hamburg Literature Award. Ika was the first comic artist to be appointed city writer in Rottweil and Dortmund.
