Manon Scharstein grew up in Berlin and initially studied film and theatre studies at the Free University of Berlin. After graduating, she moved to Saarbrücken to undertake further studies, this time in Communication Design at the HBKsaar, specialising in illustration and comics. She has been working as a freelance illustrator since 2019. Since 2024, she has been a lecturer in illustration at the Kunstschule Wandsbek.
