It's wonderful that you're visiting me here. "I soak up the humor from everyday life," the line reminds me that I had the privilege of studying the great cartoonists for many years. All my life, I've tried to get closer to utopia through drawing, because when I draw, I defy the spirit of the times; things like art fads simply don't interest me. Today, at 66, I've been drawing cartoons and short comics again for 20 years, sometimes political, often provocative, obscene, or simply offensive, but always with genuine affection for my characters.
