Matthias Picard, born in 1982, graduated from the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg in 2007 and was one of the founders of the Troglodyte collective at the time. A very regular contributor to the fanzine Écarquillettes and the webzine Numo.fr, he has won prizes in various competitions (Angoulême, Lausanne...) and also took part in the revival of "Lapin", the Association's magazine, with a story called Jeanine, which has since been published as an album by L'Association. In October 2012, he published "Jim Curious. Voyage au cœur de l'océan" with the publisher 2024, an astonishing silent exploration of the ocean in 3D through anaglyphs, which has been translated into more than thirty countries! This was followed in 2019 by "Jim Curious - Voyage à travers la jungle". Both books have been published in German by Reprodukt.

The children's comic festival "Kinder lieben Comics" is presenting his exhibition "Jim Curious – Reise in die Tiefen des Ozeans" , created with Édition 2024, at the Kulturzentrum E-Werk from 30 May to 2 June 2024.
