Wauter Mannaert

Wauter Mannaert, born in 1978, is a Belgian illustrator and comic book author. He studied animated film at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. His work “Chef Yasmina and the Potato Panic” (Reprodukt, 2021) has been published in German. Since then, additional Yasmina volumes have followed: “Yasmina 1: Master Class” (2022), “Yasmina 2: Vegetables for Everyone” (2022), “Yasmina 3: The Greens Strike Back” (2025). In 2024, the comic “Weegee” (co-authored with Max de Radiguès) was published in German. Since 2025, the children’s comic series “Quest” has been published, for which he collaborates with French comic book author Frédéric Maupomé. Wauter Mannaert lives and works in Brussels.
