Eva Müller lives and works in Hamburg as a comic artist and cultural worker. Her stories are published internationally and have received numerous awards.
Her debut graphic novel, "Sterben ist echt das Letzte" (Schwarzer Turm), was featured as one of the ten best comics of 2017 at the Japan Media Arts Festival. Her second graphic novel, "Scheiblettenkind," was published by Suhrkamp Verlag in autumn 2022. She received several awards and grants for the book. Many of her works are created during international residencies; most recently, she was a resident at Villa Aurora in Los Angeles, commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Culture and Media. Eva Müller presents her stories in multimedia performances—at festivals, literary venues, museums, and cinemas, among other venues. Together with Jul Gordon, she curates and organizes the event series "Ping Pong." She is also a founding member of the Comics Union.She is currently working on a new book and has received the Hamburg Literature Prize and a grant from the German Literature Fund for her work.
