Steffen Gumpert

Steffen Gumpert was born on a Wednesday in Höxter and moved to Berlin on a Tuesday. However, there were a few years in between. He earns his daily bread as an illustrator, author, comic artist and cartoonist. Sometimes he also works in animation, sometimes not at all. This usually happens on Sundays. Then he likes to put his feet up and listen to loud music. Gumpert's work has received many awards, including the Leipzig Reading Compass and the German Children's Book Prize. At the Comic Salon he reads and signs his new comic "Licht ins Dunkel" (Carlsen).
