Toeby

Born in Oldenburg in 1974, Mark “Toeby” Töbermann was fascinated from an early age by the colorful illustrations in his father’s comic books. Drawing soon became his passion (as his grandparents used to say, “Give him paper and pencils, and you won’t hear a peep from him all day!”), eventually leading to his dream of becoming a comic book artist. After a detour into offset printing, he began his studies at HAWK Hildesheim.

He has been a freelance illustrator and comic artist since August 2008. In addition to comics and cartoons, his work includes drawing storyboards and character and concept illustrations, which are primarily used in the film and advertising industries. He also creates illustrations for posters and covers, among other things. For some time now, he has also been available for hire as a graphic recorder.
