ComicFestival Munich presents: Defending Democracy

Democracy guarantees every member of society the right to participate in all political processes. This goes hand in hand with the protection of fundamental and human rights. Yet these guarantees have been and continue to be repeatedly challenged and jeopardised worldwide – or are not granted in the first place. The exhibition presents political cartoons, comics and drawings from graphic novels by more than 30 international artists, including Tobi Dahmen, Hamed Eshrat, Horst Haitzinger, Dieter Hanitzsch, Denis Kitchen, Reinhard Kleist, Ralf König, Isabel Kreitz, Luise Mirdita, Mana Neyestani, Uli Oesterle, Chris Scheuer, Sabrina Schmatz, Simon Sieber, Timo Wuerz and Barbara Yelin.
