Bettina Schipping was born in Düsseldorf in 1967. After studying Visual Communication at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, she worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for various advertising agencies and has been responsible for the design of a city magazine for the past 20 years. As a cartoonist, she regularly publishes cartoon jokes on social media. She draws for, amongst others, Spott sei Dank, booklooker.de, the GEW Berlin’s bbz, Spectrum, the weekend supplement of the magazine Die Presse, CORRECTIV’s Cartoon-Arena, Titanic and Eulenspiegel; she takes part in competitions and exhibitions and is featured in many different cartoon anthologies and calendars. Postcards featuring her cartoons are also available from Inkognito Verlag and Cartoonkaufhaus. In 2023, she won the Heinz Jankofsky Prize from SuperIllu. She is a member of the "Rheinische Humorverwaltung" and a cartoon lobbyist. She lives and works in Düsseldorf.
