Fernando Güell
From 1975 to 1980, Fernando Güell attended the Sant Jordi University of Fine Arts (Barcelona). In 1984, he drew his first comic strips featuring Donald Duck and his friends for Egmont Publishing. In 1987, he began illustrating children’s books, collaborating with American companies such as Disney, Random House, and Disneyland LA. At that time, he was also working in a similar capacity at Egmont Kids in Europe. In 1991, he made contact with the recently founded Disney Consumer Products (DCP) in Paris. Among his notable publications with DCP are contributions to the Magic English Collection (Planeta de Agostini), Trafic Rutiere (Egmont), the covers for Minnie Magazine (Hachette edition), and the Mystery Collection (Hachette edition). In 1995, he founded his own illustration and design company, “Taller Fantástico S.L.” In 2000, he began building his current career as Art Director at Egmont Creative. In recent years, he has also worked as a freelance artist for various publications.
