Philip Waechter

Philip Waechter, born in 1968 in Frankfurt am Main, studied communication design with a specialisation in illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz. He has been illustrating picture books and children’s books since 1995. He lives in Frankfurt as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, where he founded the studio collective Labor in 1999 with Anke and Moni Port, among others. Philip Waechter works for numerous renowned German-language publishers, including Beltz & Gelberg, the Büchergilde Gutenberg, Gerstenberg and Klett Kinderbuch.
