Melisa Ozkul

Melisa Ozkul, born in 1997, is a Swiss comic author. She graduated in visual communication from ESBDI Geneva and holds a Bachelor's degree from HEAD, and works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. 

For her, drawing is the best way to express herself fully and share her vision of the world. Her work explores various social themes with sensitivity and warmth, through a feminine, dreamlike and poetic style. In March 2022, she co-published the comic “Trois Histoires de Réfugiés” with La Joie de Lire, which was awarded the Prix BDzoom in 2023. In March 2025, she published her first graphic novel, “Le dernier pétale de Rose” with Éditions Antipodes, addressing the topic of assisted suicide. Alongside her work, she regularly participates in markets and festivals, where she offers a variety of her personal productions at her stand: comics, posters, fanzines, goodies and original artworks. She is currently working with a scriptwriter on a new comic planned for early 2027.
