Alessandra Respini
Alessandra, also known as Ale, Miramundo or Alegria, is a cartoonist and comic author living and working in Neuchâtel. This plurality of names is her way of playing with reality, which is itself always multiple. Her drawings question our absurdity in relation to ourselves and the world. Her press illustrations have been published in Matin Dimanche, La Torche 2.0 and the magazine Générations. Following an artistic residency in Genoa between December 2023 and June 2024 and her encounter with CALP (an independent collective of port workers), she published her first reportage comic “Ombres Rouges” with Hélice Hélas, and its Italian version “Nemmeno un chiodo”with Tuss edizioni, in October 2025. “Ombres Rouges” traces the resistance of CALP, an independent collective of dockers, against the transit of weapons through the port of Genoa. This reportage comic tells the story of a city and its sea, while questioning our humanity in the face of its wars.
