Ayşe Klinge

Ayşe Klinge, born in Berlin in 1990, works as a freelance illustrator in Hamburg. She illustrates children’s books such as the adventures of “Kami and Mika” (with Regina Feldmann, Fischer Sauerländer), non-fiction books such as “Moderne Muslimas” (edited by Kerstin Finkelstein, Jacoby & Stuart), and short comic stories (a. o. for Polle). Ayşe Klinge’s graphic novel debut, “Der Zahn”, was published by Kibitz and is currently nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize and the Max und Morit award; she was also awarded the 2026 Kranichstein Children’s Literature Fellowship for this book. As part of the children's comic festival at kubic, Ayşe will be presenting "Der Zahn" on Sunday, 7 June at 3 pm.
