Born in Munich (1985), freelance illustrator, comic artist, and author Adrian vom Baur lives and works in Berlin. In 2019, his graphic novel "Die Toten: Isar Palace" was published by Zwerchfell Verlag. He also wrote and drew the webcomic “Hipsters” which concluded in 2014 and was published as a book by Zwerchfell Verlag, and served as editor of the award-winning independent comic anthology “JAZAM!” which presented a colorful cross-section of the German-language comic scene annually from 2006 to 2023. Some of his short comics appeared as mini-booklets in JAZAM!: “48 Hours of Fear” (2013), “Love & Monsters” (2015), and “Monster Party” (2018). He also works as a comic book colorist, including on Olivia Vieweg’s “Endzeit,” Katja Klengel’s “Girlsplaining,” and the Spiegel bestsellers “Paluten Freedom: Der Golemkönig” and “GermanLetsPlay: Im Wirbel der Welten”. As an illustrator, he has contributed to the video game “Angry Birds Epic”, the “Nichtlustig” series, and Ralph Ruthe’s planned “HNO-WG” feature film, among other projects.
