Heiner Lünstedt

Heiner Lünstedt is a comics journalist and author. He was born in Hamburg in 1960 and lives in Munich. He writes for Comixene and Die Sprechblase, among others, and has been running the website Highlightzone since 2000, where he reports on new comics, films, DVDs and books. He is also one of the two directors of the Munich Comic Festival and organises the "Comic Cafe" at the Munich Werkstattkino. Lünstedt wrote the comic series "Die Weltenbummler" (Carlsen), drawn by Alfred Neuwald. A comic biography on Willy Brandt, written by him and drawn by Ingrid Sabisch, was published by Knesebeck Verlag in 2013 on the occasion of his 100th birthday. Two years later, the same team published a comic biography of Sophie Scholl, which has now sold more than 12,000 copies. The comic has also been published in Chinese, Italian, and Czech. His current projects include a comic biography of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen and the Munich Comic Festival 2027.
