HaChri

Hans “HaChri” Christoph Beermann (aged 50+) has been or is a gardener, farmer, silviculturist, electrical engineering assistant, warehouse worker, gravedigger, greenkeeper, kite flyer, villager, stubborn old man, father, trombonist, soldier, salesman, agricultural supplier, firefighter, nerd, but always a freelance, self-taught amateur cartoonist. Born and raised in the district of Lippe. Much to the regret of his teachers, his talent became apparent quite early on, in the form of exercise books covered in drawings – a passion to which he has remained true. 

He lives, as he always has, in the hilly countryside of Lippe, where a pencil is his constant companion. His works to date include “HaChri No#1” (2012), “Not an Artbook” (2016), “Of People, Animals, and Island Fever” (2020), “Cartoons from the Local Area!” (2024), as well as contributions to the toonsUp anthologies “Animal Athletics – The Animal Sports Sensation”, “Heros of Art”, “toonsUp Dauerwerbecomic” and “Rummel – The Anthology to Get You Going”.
