Chrigel Farner, *1972 in Schaffhausen (CH), lives in Berlin as an illustrator, comic artist, painter and musician. Chrigel Farner trained as a scientific illustrator at the Zurich Academy of Art and Design, documenting brain operations and enlarging cockroaches. During his training as a scientific illustrator in Zurich, his first comic album "Fliegenpilz" was published by Carlsen-Lux. Since then he has mainly worked as an illustrator and comic artist for newspapers, magazines and books. He developed costumes for an underwater musical and stage designs for several theatre productions, including at the Deutsches Theater, where he occasionally lectures, occasionally works in a meat shop and sometimes swaps his paintbrushes for drumsticks. He has drummed with several bands including Knarf Rellöm, The Human Elephant, Masha Qrella and with NMFarner as support act for The Fall and Interpol. Every night, his comic epic, which will change the world, takes on ever greater dimensions. So far, however, mainly in his mind's eye. Farner lives in Berlin, birdsong in front, the tinkling of the tram behind.
