EMBE

Marcus “EMBE” Behrendt (b. 1979) lives and works in Berlin. Born and raised in Bad Oeynhausen, he escaped the small-town gloom at the tender age of 20 and moved to Bremen for several years. During the following six years, he published his first comic short stories and albums. A trained educator, he has been living in Berlin since 2007, where he works as a head educator as well as a freelance comic artist and illustrator. For many years, he served as chairman of toonsUp e.V., runs a YouTube channel featuring comic tutorials for children, and is the resident illustrator for the Sandmännchen. And somehow, he still finds time for music.
