Yann Cozic was born on 14 August 1994 in Rennes, France. After completing a BTS in Graphic Design and a DNAP in Animated Images at the École Waide Somme, he devoted himself entirely to comic book creation. He made his debut in 2017 with "Les Démons de l’Asphalte" (written by Olivier Quevenne). Two years later, he released the first volume of the four-part youth series "Erwann", written by Cédric Mayen, published by Jungle. The series follows a young boy and his group of friends as they go through the sometimes challenging process of learning skateboarding. Alongside his work in comics, Yann Cozic also illustrates for children’s magazines, including Astrapi and Images Doc. In 2024, he published "Mardival" with Glénat, a medieval fantasy adventure that marks a clear shift from the contemporary setting of his previous works.
